Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Manahawkin, NJ. This part-time night-shift role delivers direct, compassionate care to complex patients and requires strong collaboration with the care team to achieve outcomes.

BSN preferred (or to be pursued within 3 years), with at least 1 year of acute care experience and ED exposure. NJ RN license and BLS/CPR are required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• At least 1 year or more of acute care nursing experience; ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them.
