Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver evidence-based nursing care and collaborate with the health team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires an NJ RN license, BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within 3 years, and 6 months of nursing experience (2 years ED experience preferred). BLS/CPR is required within 60 days; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and wellness.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions of care.
