Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Emergency Room Nursing department on the third shift. The RN II will perform all aspects of the nursing process, ensure quality communication, and lead collaborative care with the health team.

RN license, BLS, and unit-specific competencies are required; BSN is preferred. Compensation reflects a $34.00–$48.87 per hour pay range plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• RN license is required with eligibility to practice in applicable state.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Meets all requirements of a RN I.
• Reliable phone communication with hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Document care and manage priorities and time effectively.
• Provide patient education and participate in quality/safety initiatives.
• Lead, coordinate and communicate with health team; assume Charge Nurse duties as applicable.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and teamwork.
