Job summary

Family Health West in western Colorado is seeking an ER nurse to join a dedicated team, providing rapid assessment and emergency care. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements include a Colorado RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS with TNCC within 3 months, and a minimum of 1 year ER experience. Night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am are available with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from an accredited school of nursing; or equivalent diploma degree.
• Current unrestricted State of Colorado RN License in good standing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS. Must obtain TNCC within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year ER experience required.
• Wage starts at $37.00 and goes up with experience.

Responsibilities

• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
• Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
• Physical and mental assessment of hospital and emergency room patients.
• Initiation of proper emergency care.
• Notification of physician and family on admission and reporting significant changes during hospitalization.
• Receiving and carrying out physician’s orders.
• Assisting physician’s with medical procedures.
• Safety and correctly performing all procedures within the scope of nursing practices.
• Knowledge of medication dosages, routes, and actions.
• Careful administration of medication ordered.
