Job summary

Methodist Boerne Emergency Center seeks an RN Emergency Room Registered Nurse Freestanding to deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with physicians and nurses to assess, treat, and educate patients, while ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with families. The role emphasizes patient advocacy and adherence to clinical standards.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse license is required.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS must be obtained within 90 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months.
• At least 6 months of RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per department standards.
• Collaborate with providers and care team; document care in the medical record promptly.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, and follow-up care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and anticipate required services.
• Advocate for patients/families and support holistic outcomes.
