Job summary

Methodist ER Converse is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will work with physicians and the care team to assess, treat, teach, and manage patient conditions using established nursing models.

Qualifications include RN licensure, a diploma or degree in nursing, and at least 6 months of experience as an RN, with ACLS, BCLS, and other certifications pursued within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Collaborates with medical providers and care team.
• Uses nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
• Advocates for patients/families and supports department outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote pain management.
• Document administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients/families about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
• Explain non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
