Job summary

UAB Medicine's Emergency Department in Pell City, AL is seeking a skilled RN to provide direct nursing care and coordinate patient treatment across disciplines. You will implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and communicate updates to the team.

Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary care, upholding policies, and assisting with discharge planning. This role offers full-time night and evening shifts in a Magnet-designated health system with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required or obtained within stated timeframes.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in line with policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; document and communicate patient status.
• Coordinate care as the primary link among disciplines for well-coordinated treatment.
• Assess and support discharge planning with the healthcare team.
