Job summary

Whitfield Regional Hospital, a member of the UAB Health System, is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for DAY shifts 7:00 AM–7:00 PM with some weekend shifts. ER experience is encouraged but not required; CPR and Alabama RN license in good standing are mandatory.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive patient care, collaborating with the care team, ensuring proper MAR documentation, and maintaining professional standards. Benefits include health, retirement matching, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

RN license in good standing with Alabama Board of Nursing.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
ER experience encouraged but not required.
Full-time schedule totals 2,000 hours per year.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care across shifts, including heavy lifting and mobility assistance.
Assess and document patient needs and progress.
Communicate with care team and report incidents.
Ensure IV labeling and aseptic technique.
Deliver age-appropriate care and detailed shift reports.
Maintain professional appearance and hospital dress code.
Adhere to corporate compliance and document in MARs.
