Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson in Anderson, Indiana is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to drive life-saving interventions and coordinate real-time patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and technologists, monitor patient conditions, and communicate changes promptly while leading comprehensive discharge planning to support families through recovery.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date or transfer date, per American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
• One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support within 6 months or Pediatric Advanced Life Support prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Drive life-saving interventions by implementing and adapting patient care plans in real-time within a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and techs to ensure seamless, high-quality transitions of care.
• Monitor and interpret complex patient conditions, communicating critical status changes to the medical team promptly.
• Orchestrate discharge and follow-up strategies to support patients and families for the next stage of recovery.
