Job summary
Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, Maine, seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages. You will perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within ED policies and standards.

Qualifications
- RN license in Maine or eligible via licensure compact.
- CPR certification annually; ACLS and PALS re-certifications as required.
- Participation in continuing education in emergency or critical care nursing.
- Experience in emergency/critical care nursing; charge nurse preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for ED patients across ages.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per ED policies.
- Utilize IV skills and monitor cardiac status; coordinate with staff.
- Maintain proficiency with information systems and charting.
