Job summary

Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, GA is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse- Emergency Room (7p). You will deliver safe, compassionate nursing care, monitor patients, assess treatment responses, and educate patients and families about health and wellness.

The role supports autonomous practice and collaboration with the care team. The ideal candidate is a Georgia-licensed RN with an accredited nursing degree; ACLS and PALS are required within the first year, and supervision of LPNs/NAs

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
Current Georgia license as a registered nurse.
ACLS and PALS required within first year.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient’s condition and assess needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, injections, etc.) and document in the electronic record.
Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and scope of practice.
Inspect facilities and maintain hygiene and safety; decontaminate equipment and prepare beds.
Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
Assist surgeons during operations.
Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and families.
Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops and conferences.
