Job summary

Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware, is seeking a PRN Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect care in a fast-paced ED. The role requires prioritization, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

This PRN position includes a commitment of one shift biweekly, one weekend per month, and coverage of one summer holiday and one winter holiday, with scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• One year of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Baby Friendly Education to be completed within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate patient assessments to determine care needs and prioritize treatment.
• Collects, labels, and processes blood and urine specimens as ordered and ensures proper delivery to the lab.
• Maintains clear, timely documentation and communicates with patients and interdisciplinary team.
• Applies problem-solving skills to evaluate situations and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Operates clinical equipment safely and maintains proficiency in required procedures.
