Job summary

GuideWell Emergency Doctors seeks an ER Physician to perform standard emergency room procedures in a fast-paced, high-visibility setting. The role emphasizes prompt decision-making, accurate interpretation of tests, and efficient patient throughput.

The physician will travel between local facilities within a 50-mile radius, provide leadership to mid-level providers, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective care in a non-hospital-based emergency service model.

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ recent ER experience.
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM).
• Active DEA license.
• ACLS certification.
• State MD or DO license.
• Credentialing at each facility.
• Able to pass a level 2 background screen and drug test.
• Legibly write and read English; able to travel within 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Accurately treat patients of ALL ages with mild to moderate medical complaints.
• Perform H&P.
• Perform Physical Exams.
• Make quality medical decisions.
• Accurately interpret diagnostic testing results (lab, imaging, EKG).
• Generate a quality treatment plan.
• Write appropriate prescriptions.
• Arrange follow-up within our facility or with a specialist.
• Review results from outside diagnostic centers and plan care.
• Act as a resource for Mid-Level providers on shift.
• Maintain door-to-provider time under 30 minutes.
• Support facility metrics and organizational values.
• Utilize facility software to reference records and protocols.
