Job summary

Under supervision of the Attending Physician, the PA will perform histories, exams, orders, documentation, and patient education, contributing to high-quality urgent care. The role requires NYS PA license, NCCPA certification, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS, with strong teamwork and clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Completion of NYS-approved program for physician assistants.
• NCCPA Certification and NYS PA License.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification required.
• Registration with NYS as Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused H&Ps and develop diagnostic and treatment plans for ED patients.
• Document encounters with history, meds, allergies and current condition.
• Order tests, meds, consultations, immunizations and referrals.
• Review results and communicate findings to the ED team and Attending.
• Present cases to supervising Attending Physician for approval.
• Perform supervised procedures and assist in ED resuscitation when needed.
• Provide discharge instructions and coordinate follow-up as required.
