RWJBarnabas Health in Toms River, NJ seeks a full-time, day-shift Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality care in the Emergency Department and inpatient settings. The role emphasizes rapid assessment, coordination, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.

The PA will perform histories, exams, order tests, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the health-care team, with adherence to legal, regulatory, and CME requirements, including HIPAA and EMTALA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for PA practice.
• PA certification and state licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NJ CDS and DEA licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Record patient history and perform physical examinations.
• Order diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
• Develop and implement diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Coordinate patient care with the health care team and refer as needed.
• Ensure charting is thorough and timely; manage patient flow in ED/inpatient units.
