Job summary

Complete Care ER is seeking a full-time ER Physician to join our busy freestanding ED in San Antonio. You will deliver high-quality emergency medical care, coordinate with nursing and support staff, and ensure efficient patient throughput.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO, are board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, hold an active US license, and possess ACLS/BLS/PALS. 1–2 years ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• Active state medical license in the United States.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.
• 1–2 years ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with diverse emergencies.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging to guide care.
• Administer medications and perform emergency procedures.
• Document care clearly per guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate with patients/families about treatment options and follow-up.
• Collaborate with specialists and PCPs for ongoing care.
• Adhere to medical protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain composure and critical thinking in fast-paced settings.

What you’ll do:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging) to guide treatment plans.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as needed in emergency situations.
• Provide clear, concise documentation of patient care in compliance with medical and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including specialists and primary care physicians, for ongoing patient care.
• Adhere to all medical protocols, quality standards, and patient safety guidelines.

What we’re looking for:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Current and valid state medical license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
