Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is hiring a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. The role supports program development, adherence to policies, and ongoing education within a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) with preferred PGY1 residency completion and an active license in good standing.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college (BS in Pharmacy or PharmD).
• Preferred completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Current pharmacy licensure in good standing and ability to obtain preceptor license and ASHP residency preceptorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participate in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements; manage accreditation/reporting requirements.
• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to improve patient safety and outcomes.
