Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to support clinical and distributive pharmacy services and promote optimal patient outcomes through safe, cost-effective drug therapies for all ages.

Responsibilities include processing orders, ensuring age-appropriate therapies, and contributing to program development. Requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy; Oklahoma licensure is required; PGY1 residency preferred; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience:Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
