Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is recruiting a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services and to ensure optimal medication therapy for all patients daily. The role includes implementing and maintaining programs that promote safe, cost-effective drug therapies across age groups and aligning with regulatory requirements.

The position requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, Oklahoma licensure, and has favorable residency and board-certification pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Maintain preceptor license with the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Board certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
