Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Emergency Department at Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX. This full-time night-shift role offers 36 hours per week with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will assist patients per the plan of care, collect data, support admission/transfer/discharge, and collaborate with nurses to adapt care to each patient’s needs and culture. A fast-paced team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide patient care according to a care plan.
• Collect patient data and report significant findings to the nurse.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provides and Revises patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Takes action to reduce patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration with the nurse, adapts care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration with nurse, incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keeps patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipates patient/family and visitor needs and takes action to meet those needs and rounds as appropriate
