Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Patient Transport/Care Assistant to support the Emergency Center team at Royal Oak Hospital. You will stock equipment, obtain vital signs, monitor patients, and transport individuals to tests and patient care units.

You will assist in resuscitations, provide patient sitter duties as necessary, and ensure safety, infection control, and compassionate care within hospital policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification (AHA) upon hire.
• BLS certification (ARC) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain equipment in the Emergency Room.
• Obtain and record vital signs; monitor patients.
• Transport patients to testing areas and patient care units.
• Provide companionship and observation to at-risk patients as needed.
• Assist in resuscitations and supply of blood and equipment.
• Uphold patient rights and promote infection control and safety.
