Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak is seeking a part-time Patient Transport teammate to move patients to and from examinations and treatments, assist with transfers, and support the care team. You will ensure safety, proper identification, and timely transport throughout the hospital.

You will work evenings 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., 20 hours weekly, with on-site scheduling at Royal Oak Hospital. The role requires a high school diploma and completion of on-the-job training, plus BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS (AHA/ARC) within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrates safe lifting and transport techniques.
• Understanding and following HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from examinations and treatments.
• Assists with patient transfers in and out of cars, beds or wheelchairs.
• Transports equipment and supplies with patients.
• Maintains clean and disinfected equipment and work areas.
• Communicates patient needs and timing to medical staff.
• Supports safety initiatives and follows unit policies.
