Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time patient transport associate to safely move patients, specimens, and medications across the hospital. The role emphasizes attention to vascular lines, oxygen, and privacy while collaborating with clinical staff and management.

This position offers rotating days and shifts with weekend variability; benefits and on-site support are provided by Corewell Health.

Qualifications

• Required communication skills to interact with patients, families, staff, physicians and management.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely, timely, and efficiently throughout the hospital.
• Monitor O2, IVs, catheters, and alert staff to problems immediately.
• Complete handoffs, verify patient IDs, and maintain records per policy.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safe lifting/transport procedures.
• Participate in safety initiatives and other duties as assigned.
