Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a Full Time Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department in Penn Yan, NY. This 13 week contract position supports RN-led clinical operations and clerical duties within a fast-paced ED setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS and CPI within 30 days, and at least 1 year of acute hospital experience with computer literacy. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; CPI within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum: one year of acute care hospital experience; computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, hygiene care, vital signs and related tasks.
• Input radiology, laboratory and EKG orders in Meditech accurately.
• Maintain organized filing and record-keeping systems for the department.
• Monitor supplies, restock rooms and keep areas clean and organized.
• Handle department communication, including phones and messages with courtesy.
• Accurately document patient care and observations in the medical record.
