Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a full-time Emergency Department support role in New York, offering 3x12 shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. The candidate will provide patient care under RN supervision, perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and data entry in Meditech.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience; Meditech and Microsoft Office literacy is preferred.

Location: New York 14427
Pay: $736 – $840/week

Schedule:

Full-Time (3x12s) – 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM

Every other weekend required

Holidays required

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Provide patient care and support in the Emergency Department under RN supervision

Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, hygiene care, and assist with procedures

Monitor and report patient condition changes

Enter and manage patient data and orders accurately (Meditech)

Maintain supplies, equipment, and a clean, organized unit

Support patient flow, communication, and a safe care environment

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

BLS Certification (AHA or RQI only)

Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (PCT or similar role)

Computer literacy required (Meditech and Microsoft Office preferred)

Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Emergency Department setting

Phlebotomy and EKG experience

Medical Terminology knowledge

CPI certification (within 30 days of hire)
