Jefferson Health Northeast seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Room on a per diem night schedule. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, supports the interprofessional team, and promotes a safe care environment.

Responsibilities include patient rounds, call light response, and possible telehealth assistance with devices and software like Epic. Requires a high school diploma and BLS certification on hire.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with patients, families and care partners.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to call lights or pages.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May facilitate telehealth encounters with distant providers using peripheral devices and software.
