Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Neuro PCU on a full-time night shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) with a 36-hour workweek, including weekends and holidays. The role supports patient care, data collection, and collaboration with nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The position accepts various training paths (CNA/NHA/NAHP/NCCT/THR-approved PCT program or EMT), with CLIA and CPI requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA/NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR approved program required or upon hire.
• EMT training or military medical experience equivalent upon hire.
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program upon hire.
• One year of applicable experience in lieu of an active certification upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement, adheres to safety goals, and advocates for patients.
