Job summary

OhioHealth in the United States is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support Registered Nurses on the Emergency Department unit. You will provide direct patient care to multiple patients, perform daily living activities, monitor environment, and assist with transport and documentation.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED; teenagers may qualify with a valid work permit. Night shift, 36 hours weekly. Emphasis on patient safety and teamwork within a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, mobility) and maintain clean, safe patient areas.
• Support nursing staff by transporting items, assisting with basic tasks, and documenting observations.
• Answer information requests from patients and visitors, and help coordinate care using wireless devices as appropriate.
