Qualifications

• Active registration on Texas DSHS is required.
• Experience in an emergency department or similar high-paced clinical setting preferred.
• Competency in US-guided IV placement (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure vital signs are updated and monitor for abnormalities.
• Maintain continuous observation of patients and assist with patient safety.
• Assist with IV starts, phlebotomy, and collaborate with the triage team.
• Monitor EPIC for delays and communicate identified issues.
• Aid in the application of appliances and splints to expedite discharge.
• Work with PAS staff to ensure consents are signed.
• Assist in identifying delays and prompt related tasks.
• Perform US-guided IV placement as trained.
• Assist providers with wound care and procedures.
