Job summary

UF Health Gainesville is seeking a part-time ED Technician (36 hours/week) to assist with patient care under the direction of the ED physician and RN. The role requires EMT-Paramedic certification in Florida, BLS and ACLS upon hire, and at least 1 year of paramedic experience.

The technician will collect data, report findings, and provide clinical support to uphold nursing standards and patient advocacy. The ED team aims to deliver autonomous, accountable care in a collaborative environment,

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification currently valid in the State of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum of 1 year paramedic experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED from an approved Paramedic program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the ED physician and RN.
• Document and report clinical and psychosocial findings to the RN and ED Attending.
• Support ED team to meet patient care standards and hospital policies.
