Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking an ED Technician to support patient care under the medical director and ED attending with RN oversight. You will perform data collection within your certification scope and report clinical and psychosocial findings to the RN and ED Attending, assisting in direct and indirect care.

Requirements include current EMT-Paramedic certification in Florida, BLS and ACLS, at least one year of paramedic experience, and a high school diploma or GED with graduation

Qualifications

• Current EMT-Paramedic certification in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum one year Paramedic experience; preferred pre-hospital and critical care transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care under medical direction and RN supervision.
• Collect data within certification scope and report clinical and psychosocial findings to RN and ED Attending.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
