Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking an ER Paramedic to support bedside care, perform specialized technical skills, and ensure patient safety under physician supervision.

Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of acute care or EMT/Paramedic experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with state and national licenses. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year acute care hospital experience or 1 year as EMT/Paramedic.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• State Paramedic license and National Registry Paramedic license.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to insure vehicle.
• Must be 28 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with routine care and perform specialized skills.
• Maintain patient safety and report any unusual incidents to physicians.
• Provide care under the supervision of a physician.
• Drive hospital-owned or personal vehicle to perform duties.

Education

State Paramedic license

National Registry Paramedic license

Current BLS ACLS PALS certifications
