Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year acute care hospital experience or one year experience as an EMT/Paramedic.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS through ILCOR courses with manikin check off.
• State Paramedic license (LA) and national NREMT license.
• Must be 28 years or older; valid driver's license; proof of automobile insurance; driving record clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with routine care and specialized technical skills.
• Report unusual incidents or findings and maintain patient safety.
• Work under physician supervision in the ER.
• Drive hospital- or personally owned vehicle to perform duties.
