St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an ER Paramedic to support the ED team.

The role involves assisting nursing staff with routine patient care, performing specialized skills, and ensuring patient safety under physician supervision, with a 7am–7pm shift in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualifications include high school diploma, current Paramedic Certification, and 1 year of acute care or EMS experience, plus current BLS/ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire; a Health Stream

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Current Paramedic Certification.
• One year acute care hospital experience or one year experience as an EMT/Paramedic on an ambulance crew or Patient Care Technician.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 6 months of hire) certifications through any ILCOR provided courses with manikin check off.
• Upon hire, the paramedic will be assigned a de-escalation class via Health Stream.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain patient safety for a designated group of patients under physician supervision.
• Provide care in accordance with hospital standards and procedures.
