Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse ED Overflow to join our team. You will lead nursing care, assess patients on admission and per shift, and document care while following medical orders and safety protocols.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, an ADN, and NC RN licensure; BSN preferred. This is a hospital-based, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package and potential sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
• Implements medically prescribed interventions.
• Required: One year of RN experience.
• Required License: RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough documentation of care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take action if needed.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
