Job summary

AHMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced RN to deliver comprehensive patient care in the ER overflow unit. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate interventions in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds California RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS per AHA, CPI/AB508 and NIHS Stroke certification, with 1 year of acute care experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold California RN license and active, in good standing.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification per AHA requirements.
• CPI/AB508 certification and NIHS Stroke certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
• Ability to lead and educate peers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and timely reassessments of patient care needs.
• Initiate actions for emergencies and monitor for status changes.
• Coordinate total nursing care according to the plan of care.
• Document nursing interventions accurately and legibly.
• Follow Fall Prevention Protocols and manage skin integrity risks.
• Develop and update care plans with goals and patient education.
• Review care plans every 24 hours to ensure continuity.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and physicians.
• Maintain safety, policy compliance, and professional standards.
• Support patient rights and treat all clients with respect.
