Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• BCLS, ACLS (required from AHA).
• CPI/AB508, NIHS Stroke certificate required.
• 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessment and Patient Care: conducts comprehensive assessments and timely reassessments.
• Initiates actions for emergencies and notices physical/behavior changes.
• Coordinates total nursing care for continuity using the plan of care.
• Documents nursing interventions accurately and legibly.
• Follows safety protocols and maintains unit readiness with supplies.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to achieve patient outcomes.
• Ensures clear discharge instructions and education in the chart.
