Job summary

Atrium Health Union Emergency Department in Monroe, North Carolina, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ED team on a full-time weekend days schedule. The unit is a 34-bed ED with a 10-bed Behavioral Health Holding Unit, operating 24 hours a day to deliver high-quality patient care and patient experience.

Ideal candidates completed an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license in NC, and possess BLS; ACLS within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• At least 6 months of RN experience; not suitable for new graduates.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication to ensure patient safety and experience.
