Job summary

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately. You will support physicians and other staff during exams and procedures while maintaining a safe, clean care environment and rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of registered nurse experience preferred.
• Current Mississippi RN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are preferred at the time of hire but must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrates competency in required clinical skills as validated by the departmental skills checklist.
• Successfully passes a written pharmacology examination.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physicals.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments and documents care.
• Assists physicians and staff with exams, procedures, and tests.

• Provides thorough shift reports to ensure continuity of care.
