Job summary

Moore County Hospital District in Dumas, Texas is seeking an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-quality emergency care. The NP will evaluate and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries, collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, and manage patient dispositions including discharge or admission.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of ED experience, holds an ARNP degree, an unrestricted Texas license, and current DEA certification.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience preferred.
• Graduate of Accredited School offering an Advanced Degree in Nurse Practice (ARNP) required.
• Unrestricted license to practice within Texas.
• Current DEA certificate without restriction.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS/TNCC (or equivalent emergency medicine certifications as required) are required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based emergency medical care to ED patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies; develop treatment plans.
• Document encounters accurately and timely; manage disposition (discharge, admission, transfer, or consultation).
