Job summary

Moore County Hospital District in Dumas, Texas, is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care in our acute care departments. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to monitor patient conditions and communicate diagnostic results.

The role requires a Texas RN license (or compact) and CPR certification, with ACLS/PALS/NRP requirements to be met within the first year. Six months of hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six Months Nursing Experience In a Hospital Setting Preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or RN Compact licensure and current CPR certification required.
• ALCS Certification required or must be obtained within first year of employment.
• OB - NRP required or obtained within first year
• Med/Surg/ICU - PALS required or obtained within first year.
• ED - TNCC, ENPC or PALS required or obtained within first year.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and/or accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the acute care departments.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses and other staff about patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
• Cross trained to perform general nursing duties in other departments and may be asked to do any reasonable job duty within scope of practice.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient’s condition.
