Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a registered nurse to provide coordinated nursing care within the Emergency Department. You will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and coordinate patient care through the nursing process to ensure quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, independent judgment, and ongoing assessment to support safe discharge planning and seamless transitions for patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS or PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects data pertinent to the patient’s health, analyzes assessment data, and develops a plan to attain outcomes; implements and coordinates care while ensuring safety and quality.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and healthcare providers to deliver care in a safe, healing environment and provides learning opportunities.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates duties of the healthcare team.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
