Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Marlborough, MA. The role involves planning, delivering and coordinating direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.

BLS is required; ACLS/PALS and BSN are preferred; three years of ED experience is expected. Standard responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, documentation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS required for every RN; ACLS acceptable if current.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred/required as per unit.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum three years of emergency department experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process from Admission to Discharge.
• Administer medications and assist physicians with procedures and tests.
• Coordinate plan of care and discharge planning.
• Document care and ensure quality and continuity through collaboration with the health care team.
• Maintain compliance with safety, privacy and professional standards.
