Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required unless ACLS is current.
• ACLS certification or renewal is preferred for some units.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks appropriately within competency levels.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure.
• Implements education plans for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures as required.
• Participates in Nursing Governance and professional growth.
