Job summary

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role involves assessing, guiding, and delivering nursing care across patient stays, coordinating with physicians and staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, formulate care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and maintain precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Missouri.
• Experience in emergency department care is preferred.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessment and reassessment.
• Develop and coordinate plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Document care, orders, and patient status accurately and timely.
