Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Regular RN to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, nursing process, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure; no prior experience is required. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase quality of care and life for patient and family.
• Establishes effective relationships and advocates with patient and family to develop a care plan.
• Uses nursing process to develop and implement plan of care, collect data, determine diagnoses, outcomes and plan of care.
• Develops assessment and management strategies considering physical, cultural, social, and psychological factors.
• Educates patient and family about measures to promote health and comfort.
• Mentors nursing colleagues and students to foster a healthy work environment.
