Job summary

Royse City ER & Hospital in Royse City, TX seeks a dedicated ED Registered Nurse for PRN night shifts (7pm-7am). You will assess patients, triage, and provide emergency care across all ages, with supervision of ERTs and collaboration with physicians.

Requires 2 years ER experience, RN license, BCLS/CPR, ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC preferred; English fluency; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; in-person, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Nursing.
• BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking fluency.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough head-to-toe patient assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Triage patients and assign priority for care based on urgency.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following protocols.
• Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration.
• Supervise Emergency Room Technicians and other staff.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain procedures and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff on care plans.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement activities.
