Exceptional Healthcare’s NEW Community Hospital in Rapid City, SD is seeking experienced ER Night Shift RNs for our founding team. You’ll triage, treat, and support patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 3 to 5 years of ER experience.
• Current nursing license and certifications – BLS, ACLS & PALS.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Determine priorities of care based on patient needs and flow.
• Communicate with ED physicians about patient status and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain awareness of ER policies and procedures.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing plans.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and pediatric/geriatric reassessments.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Educate patients and families on pain management.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
