This full-time night-shift RN position offers an opportunity to contribute to telemetry and ED care as part of a compassionate, award-winning team. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, communicate changes to physicians, and ensure patient privacy and EMTALA

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire; maintain current.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire; maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire; maintain current.
• Minimum one year RN experience in an acute care hospital; ER experience preferred.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
• Provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician, including test results and symptoms.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance and report child/adult abuse as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold professional standards of care.

TNNC within 12 months
