BayCare Health System in Tampa Bay area is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ER mid-shift at St. Joseph’s North in Lutz, FL. You will care for a diverse patient population with compassion, applying nursing process and critical care skills.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma, ADN, BSN or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year ER nursing experience required.
• BLS certification (Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• PALS certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of ER patients using the nursing process.
• Delegate appropriate care tasks to care team members.
• Plan, prioritize and update patient care in collaboration with patients and families.
• Identify risks and prepare room environment for patients.
• Monitor vitals and communicate changes to the team.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Explain medical terms clearly to patients; maintain professional accountability.
